You get those in OS2XL as well.

Just in case you're thinkin about OS2 or OS2XL:

The best thing about OS2XL for me is the strength setting. Basically it's an Iterative Quantise; move your beats towards a quantised measure by a certain percentage that you choose. You can shift your live beats towards a structured quantisation as much as you like.
I couldn't believe that my mpc didn't come with that feature as stock! Thank u for OS2XL.

Also, in OS2XL you get 2 filters on every pad again, like in OS1.

Those two features are why I use OS2XL.

Only you can know the features that you prioritise.

i don't use tap tempo, just the tempo changes without me controlling it when i'm changing filter setting really quick changing alot of ****.. i hope it's not only me, i'll checkout the bug list..

Ive had simular issues with tempo change after swift movements of buttons etc

Only problem I've ever had is when I'm using the tap tempo button to do quick changes to settings (parameters and zoom/scroll in trim) and it's changed the tempo of my track. Used to happen ALL the time. I tried using the shift button for the same effect, but sometimes the shift button stops working as a 'parameter-speeder-upper' so I kept going back to the tempo button -.- So I just turned off Tap tempo in mode+pad10-> misc, cos it did my head in.
Maybe this aint the thing ur talkin about?

homey has got some serious skill for sure! don't even think about trying that on a 1000 unless you got the new pads!

about the pitch thing you mention: it's nothing complicated. most likely he is in the PROGRAM screen and just adjusting the TUNE parameter while he's tapping the pad until he gets it where he likes, then he starts banging out the beats. any of the JJ OS's can do that. but OS 2 would be better because it has the PROGRAM MODE in the TRIM screen so you can also do your TUNE adjustment in there if you like. i find that to be a very useful feature.

I know at least in OS1 you can use the qlink sliders to tune in real time. assignable to current track (I believe, not sure if you can change during recording) or to one pad.

just took the dive. I bought os2xl. i havent had a real chance to get use to it and give it a good run, but so far, im exited.

i decided to bite the bullet and go for it. i really like the pgm mode in trim window and the ND chopping, mainly because i can play with all my chops in one window and preview them against the beat as im chopping. im not limited to having to navigate to each slice/chop, i can play each one on seperate pads as im adjusting start and end points.......hope that mkaes sense

ill leet you know how it goes.
