Loading up programs & sounds saved from the2000xl to the2500

to all my 2500 people,

i have a 2000xl that just died on me. so i'm wondering, if i get a 2500, can i load up my saved .aps and .seq files seamlessly onto the 2500?

they are on saved on compact flash cards on a 2000 xl, latest OS version 1.2

I think it will only read the samples (wav only) and the sequences.
Check the compatibility of those two machines in the 2500 manual u can download from the akaipro site.

Not 100% sure, but I remember when I did the switch, and used the free JJOS, then it would load exactly as on the 2000xl. Or was it with akai os`? certainly one of them.

But changing from akai os or the free jjos to osXl, then I have to load in each thing/recreate..

I didn't have any problems at all loading any of my old 2000XL work on the 2500.
