MFC-42 & EB FX Board worth it?

Ultravoice is a vocal procesor w/ onboard filters, an the virtualizer is an effects unit. not sure if better

I ordered a pair of SSM2044 chips (the same ones on the SP1200).

I have the circuit to make a Lo-pass filter with the SSM2044.
First I have to design the PCB though.

When Im not busy with work I think I might give it a try.

Behringer gear is good when you're on a budjet.
I wouldnt want my signal going though one though.

Thats the digital model. Im speaking oif the analouge model, the VX-2000. But keep in mind, this is a VOCAL proessor, so it may not suit your needs. I use it to filter and add resonence to my synth r guitar. The pre-amps suck monkey balls tho, which I was confused why anyone would use it as a vocal processor. For 60 bucks, you cant beat it tho. And if your looking to spend a high bit on quality gear, you consider Lexicon or DPS?

Yea I know. For the price of it its the best. I think all Behringer products are the best for their price.

I run vocals through a TL Audio Ivory 5051 real tube EQ-Compressor.
I wish I had Manley VOXBOX though.

MFC is a lot of fun and the EB-16 is dope if you know how to freak your settings and not over saturate your sounds (that's when the cheesiness of it comes out) . And as already said, one of the major bonuses is that they're mounted right on your MPC, in front of your face . IMO both are definitely worth it . . . if you find a deal .

Ive built 4 or them up to now. As with all of Tonys projects, the boards are the best around,real easy to build too.

Its got a very interesting filter section which may sound limiting at first view. At the time I built mine, I had a big analog synth collection with lots of synths I used as processors but this thing sounds real classy. I makes the sherman sound cheap and is a fraction of the price.

How much do they sell the DIY kit for?

The boards were £28, rare parts kits £12 and the rest is up to you.

Prices may be more now he has redesigned it.
