Nah that's not it, hahaha, wow, hahaha.
prj is a "project" meaning everything, data, samples, midi assignments, everything is contained within it.
You can't just "convert" something like that when it contains so many elements to be re-saved into an end result as
simple as an mp3. You'll have to play out the AUDIO like I described above and record that simple 2 channel audio
to an audio file (wav). See, it's that easy, and people need to learn what their machines can do BEFORE they start
wondering and dreaming up stuff, the more you know about the functions of your machine the more you can
manipulate the funk out of it (pun intended - hehe).
And I don't even HAVE an MPC500. BUT I've read the manual at least twice, I've looked up a bunch of stuff in that
same manual jsut for peeps here on the boards that didn't understand the mumbo jumbo sometimes and I've played
with one for a long while when I was in Iraq. One of my boys out there asked me which one do I think he would be
good with sine he had nothing and has never made ANY music. I said, "500". Not even 2 weeks later it arrived in the
mail and I schooled him on it the whole evening. It's a pretty fresh little machine I gotta say.
So if I can can read the manual and be interested in it even when I don't have one then peeps that have it def
need to get busy.
