I loaded some samples onto the flash card but it won't let me assign those sounds to the individual pads, it never goes to the screen where you do that. after you press "do it" it just stays in that screen and never actually loads the sound.

any ideas?

Also, I installed a 80 gig harddrive the other day but when I try and format it, it just says system error? any ideas there? I hear it running. ALso, theres no reading in the area where it shows the free space you have on the drive.

and something I just noticed in regards to the loading problem. When I do try to go through the motions of assigning a sound to a pad, it skips the assigning page but still files the sample under ; Save: A SAMPLE. So it seems as though its saving the sound but just not attaching it to a trigger.

its up to you to 'attach it to a trigger', 'mode > program' - youve read the manual, right?

how did you do it before?

You know, I called myself doing this, the "SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY" setting, but when I turn the MPC back on (and everything is loaded), the Program is there, but not the samples. Any ideas people?

In the load screen, press the Window button. In the popup window, turn on "Sample Assign to Pad Window".

Hope this helps.
