The stock pads are shit compared to the 1k Black Pads

Get rid of them hard shits. Night and day difference.
The black pads gave my 500 the feel i been missing and takes the strain off your fingers. They work great with the full level off. Getting the right velocity with the pressure of your finger is much easier.

Upgrade and trash them hard plastic pads.

Thanks for the cold hard truth. I've asked a couple members about the black pads and all they can tell me that they're great, but no specific details which make me think they were lying.

just make sure you feel for a gap between the pad and the sensor. My black pads on the 1k had a gap. A few sticky dots and problem solved.

You are ordering from MPCStuff to get those pads. I was thinking of adding the black pads, but if they feel better than the standard stuff this is even better.

Did you get the 1000 pads and cut off the extra row (before the 500 pads were avalible)?, or did you get the 500 pads?

I ordered "500 Pads", but they are just "1000 pads" cut down. So basically their the same pads.

Thanks for posting the pics, is that a novation something station in the 1st pic?. I used to have a novation superNova 2 rack, but had to sell it along with the rest of my gear when i moved to the states. Only thing i have now is native instruments maschine,and soon a MPC 500.

Just been looking at the pics again and damm it does look good in black. I was thinking of getting either the blues pads to match the blue Lcd screen, or the red ones to match the REC buttons.

When my pockets Grow back up, I will grab a Maxxed Out Super Nova Rack. 1 of the best synths ever made!

Yes these, they are softer with no gap.
