Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have the MPC2000 (not the XL)..and it come with a floppy drive and boot floppy(1.72 boot dsk). I bout some blank floppys and thought I could load the sounds from the floppy off sounds from my pc to the MPC. Everytime I try to put the floppy in my PC it says format i try and it says windows was unable to format so this floppy thing is givin me some issues.

Help i want to start sampling asap!

I had the same issue with some floopies. I went thru 5 new ones, and with the same sypmtoms as you stated. I looked in my desk and found and OLD floppy, that was labeled RESUME, it formatted in the PC fine, and I copied over the OS and it booted up my 2000 fine.

my curent issue is creating programs in MPC EDITOR and getting them to load in the 2000.

I ended up putting the os on a floppy till I save up enough to get the card reader kit.
I use a zip100 SCSI on the MPC2000 and I have a zip100parallel on my PC
I can boot the 1.72 os from either no problem.
