best combo DAW with MPC 1K

which is the best DAW to combine with the MPC 1K?
from beginners to advance.

If its a Pc, Then Cubase,

If Its a Mac, Then Logic studio

but preferance seriously differs

Every DAW is good. Try different DAW's and chose the best for you!

I use Cakewalk Sonar 8 and for me it is better than PT.

I use Cubase, for me its ok. I havent really tried anything else though, besides Reaper. Cubase is straight though.

Its really a matter of opinion. Try out a couple and see what your into. Personally, I like pro tools for a lot but use logic and live for VST and individual features. Look around for something that catches your eye.

thinking sonar 8 , reason 4 and cubase 4.

Reason 4 is unbelievable but not quite a DAW that would work well in this situation. The only sounds you can use are loops and samples so recording a vocal part or something is very difficult. Cubase is fun but a secondhand mbox and pr tools is also worth looking into. A lot of proprietary stuff to go through but a great piece of software

would check pro tools. which version?

I'm on 8 but anything back to 7.4 or maybe 7 is really nice. Takes a little while to learn but very worthwhile
