Im trying to sample something from my computer, and it keeps saying an unexpected error is occuring. this is what im doing im opening up wave editor and opening the song i want to sample I copy and paste the sample then i save it as a wav file 44hz and 16 bit and everything. then I plug up my akai 500 and connect the usb and try and send the file to the 500 and a error message keeps coming up. does any know whats up or is it just that i need to try someother time?

No, you have to hook up the mpc when your computer is off.

Connect the USB. Turn on the 500 1st, then turn on the computer. Find detatchable devices and there should be MPC.

How far do you get - can you see any indication that your pc can see the mpc ? Does it start to copy - then give you the error or do you see the error straight away.

It may be worth checking out the CF card you've got in the mpc. Try moving a different file over to it - say even a small text file.

You should be able to move any file over really. Any issues in resolution or format of the file will only be seen when you try and play it on the mpc.
