So I try to load a file from the floppy and it says searching, i can hear and see the floppy being initialized but then get an error. " The requested file was not found on the disk "

I can save to the floppy from a sample for example (mic recording) and then load it back and that works.

I cannot on the other hand load any files in snd format or programs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You've got a bad floppy disk. I have 3.03 on my second mpc 3000 and it works fine. I have to upgrade to 3.11 to be compatible with my other mpc. When ever I try to load anything my second unit says "upgrade to 3.11." Try Forat. They have the upgrade and floppy drives. You can get by this by just installing a scsi zip 100 drive. My 60II has the 3000 upgrade, but the floppy is bad. My zip 100 works fine. Try eBay for a scsi zip drive. Make SURE it's a SCSI drive.

Really? If it works, that's a plus. Keep banging!
