about audio interface

how many outputs/inputs i need to record tracks to computer with my mpc 2000 xl? any recommendation about the brand or specific interface? (i use macbook)

Assuming your just using master out and not the assignables, you would need a basic stereo in interface(2 inputs). If you want Pro Tools go for an Mbox 2 otherwise, I have heard good things about the Presonus 96Khz
