The Breakbeat of today

Hi people

I start this post with the intention of posting rare breakbeats I find on wax... It would be great if somebody add something too!!

I start with a Demis Roussos breakbeat, sample stright from vynil, no additional eq or effects, the resolution is 24 bits - 48 khz and is an AIFF audio file

Although I'm inquisitive bout the sample I dont understand how someone can tell his sample sources and post the actual sample. Whats the goal of that?
I mean aint you proud that you found a sample that noone knows? You dont want to keep that little secret?
Thats what diggin is about IMO. Find stuff that noone knows or used before.
Well, I'm old....time has changed and I guess diggers too

i understand the idea of diggin and the secret too hehe. i kinda agree as i wouldnt jus go round and tell all my samples. drums though i think are different as i would encourage people to use more breaks for drums cause im sick of hearing the stupid 808 drums and other shit people be usin hehe! get the link up!

I know what you mean, that´s the typical digger state of mind

BUT

I reached the conclusion that I´m more interested in the creative side of things, what you´re able to do with what you have and don´t keep secrets like little golums but sharing with people, check what an ill and creative mind can do with a source (a sample),,,, That´s what beatmaking is 4 me... It´s great to see what some good beatmakers can do with samples that have been used a lot, or the way a breakbeat can be flip to the limit

It´s just an opinion

Well I dont see a problem in sharing secrets with people generally but in the way you do here its not a sharing between well known people (friends). Its a sharing with everybody who has an internet connection. You cant control if the person who download the sample or read the info you gave is worth of getting the fruit of your hard work and money you've spend finding it. If I find a killer sample and give it to some frieds to start a beatbattle its another thing. It just feels wrong to me handing infos and/or samples to everybody. But thats just my opinion.
