Yeah been going through the same thing with MPC stuff. You have to email to see what is in stock before you order. Everything is out of stock and the site does not always tell you. In their defense, I think Numark is drying up the supply of parts on purpose to stop people from fixing their old MPC's and get new ones. Still, they need to update all the items that are not in stock on the site.

Actually, I think its more along the lines of Akai is now using parts that where previously used on the just the 2500/5000 on some of the new devices they have out.

I have definitely seen black buttons on a few new akai products that are identical to the 2500/5000 buttons.
They are just re-allocating their parts stock for new products, where they have a higher return on parts in bulk like that versus individual sales.

And while that makes sense from a business stand point for them.. I still say FUK EM! I want my murdered out buttons!
Paint.. here i comes.

Definitely- and if you find a cheaper part somewhere that they carry, send an email and ask them to price match- saved myself $40 on my blue screen for my 1000 :D

I have to agree. Somehow I think Wakai is putting a choke hold, and Remix on the parts too.
Last I heard was that Wakai was moving their warehouse for the past 6mos. lmao.

As long as them guys keep carrying them sick pads, I'll be shopping.

Edit: Anybody ever tried dyeing their stock white buttons? PEEP
