CCFL inverter for MPC 2500

I'm thinking of purchasing a CCFL LCD display, this one right here http://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFAG24064A-FTI-TZ



I noticed its not as simple as to install as the LED based displays and this one would actually require an inverter. In the link it says its a +5v inverter. Anyone out their know more about this kind of stuff, this is the inverter for the display above http://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFAICCFL1.html. Is adding an inverter to the MPC 2500 possible.

possible, but not probable, they make a black display for the 2500 in the LCD style

it'll be cool if I can add the inverter needed for the CCFL displays to my 2500 so that I have more options in color displays. right theirs more 240x64 CCFL displays than LED based ones.

right, I get it, but you'd be going out of your way (expending more effort) for a return (different colored display) that would not be worth it to me (and many others here) so you're not likely to get a response from many people...since it's obviously something worth more to you than many others

I never really done anything like it, so I wouldn't know the complexity and how worth it would be, but just wanted to put it out their for those that may be interested, I still hadn't decided if I was just going to go with the LED based displays or not, but I was always planning to fall back on that if no other method was worth it. Also if I did plan to add an inverter I would have someone I know who knows more than me lol.

i would have to have seen it done and how it looks before i even consider something like that. i am all for customizing but it needs to have been done before.

I feel ya...... I'm doing the research to see what I'll need to get something like this done, if I come out successful I will document and past on what you'll need to get something like this done. I'll try to make it as easy as possible for people.

pretty sure if this was possible in terms of cost, ease of install, and benefit, we all would do it.

or at least someone would have done it once and shown.

not saying its IMpossible.. just not WORTH the hassle for the feature. IMHO
