Is it true?

I heard their is a way on the MPC4K to replace the pads without having to remove the top case.

I'm assuming it's the 4 screws on the corners of the pads, that allows you to remove something to get access to the pads without removing the top case.

You have to remove those 4 screws plus a whole lot more. instructions on how to remove the top panel is in the reference, manual available for DL from AKAI.

Those screws are for looks only. You can't get into the 4k by removing them.
