i got rid of the s6k. I didn't like the way it sounded. nor the interface. it was alltogether way to complex for my needs too:-)

it didnt' work quite as well as how envisioned, mpc60->sherman->s6000 to sample and somewhat multitrack with resequencing on the 60.

devilfish was fun. but overrated. the mods you really dont need. i'd rather a regular 303!:-)... if oyu want the freakier sounds, then get some good distortions...:-) cool with a modular with all the interfacing options, but i think the acidlab mod, or whatever one adds more inputs and outputs.

devilfish is more legendary than useful.

the mpc and spacereverb combo is dope though:-D but then again how mcuh lofi do u really need?:-)

To me, its the best mpc ever (next to the 60 which was my first), hands down.

Been lurking around for a minute, but finished up MPC60 mod. Bought it used, a bit torn, but put in a little work. It's a cream color with the wood sides and brown contrast knob and brown vent plate. Finished aluminum jog wheel and stereo gain. I also replaced all the tact switches with alittle helps from Deta!l's video and the MPC 60 bible. Great forum, helped me to finish this joint. Had a couple minor glitches like melting one of the buttons on the desoldering iron, spray lacquering in a not co clean environment resulting in some particles in the finish. Lesson 1: spray in dust free area! Lesson 2: When your done soldering, unplug. haha
Just waiting on the backlight foil and it'll be set.
