Hi, I'm working with MM8, Mbox 2, MOTU interface, MPC 1000 with jjos & Logic Pro 9. My problem lies with the mpc & LP 9. When I hit record on Logic to record a new track with the external midi nothing happens. I've went into Logic & changed the necessary synchronization settings & my MPC is set as the slave with the MMC on & Midi Clock as well. If anyone could assist me with this it would be greatly appreciated!

you would set external sync in logic if your mpc was the master. sounds like you want to slave your mpc. keep logic's sync mode to internal, and set midi clock and mtc to your mpc's midi port. set mpc to recieve sync through whichever port you have (a/b). i find mtc works better compared to midi clock (in the mpc's settings), yet in logic u still have to set midi clock on.

logic sttings

mtc to mpc 1000
midi clock on
smpte @ 0.0.0.0.0

mp settings

sync mode: mtc

.
make sure your hardware chain is setup properly as well (midi cables and shit)

main thing tho is dont use external sync in logic. keep it internal.

Appreciate it bruh...now the problem is when recording the midi track with the MPC it records but in the action of a repetitive annoying note. Any suggestion? Thanks!
