it does it on startup. Last shutdown was normal. ???

that sounds somewhat serious. does it happen every time you boot?

I would probably call akai if that is the case. Maybe you can format the drive?

I don't know those are just my wild guesses. hope you get it solved soon I know how shitty it can feel.

Ok, that was suprisingly easy.

Talked with Kevin at AKAI, he is replacing the unit, and letting me keep the hard drive I have been working on for a few months now...

The kicker is "authorized dealer", as far as they are concerned. If I bought it from Joe blow, I would be S.o.l

I bought on eBay from armens music, which is an authorized dealer, so my warranty is valid. A trip to the UPS store and a week or two is all it will take.

I guess this is a +1 for AKAI service... Just verify you are buying from an authorized dealer!!!


From a guy that has had or does have all the MPCs ever built, I have no bad things to say about this!


The grublet will be back on the 3k, asr combo for a minute I guess.
