Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

cosign!!
I started on the 2kxl and its my favorite mpc. I just got a beatup 1000 just for the outputs ( for easier tracking for all of my beats on the 500). Ive been messing with it and think i'll really end up liking a lot, especially once i get jjos on there but the 2kxl is my favorite. The sound is way better than the nukai series. The work flow for me is faster on the 2kxl than the 1000, but the 500 has them both beat when it comes to work flow (except multi tracking).
IMO 2kxl is the dopest and a classic...you cant go wrong. If your worried about using zip disks get the MCD 2kxl or install a CF card reader as an upgrade.

I have a 500 and a 2kxl, i used to be convinced the 2kxl was lacking, then just recently i put down the nukai toy and started really creating on the 2kxl. Now i'm trying desperately to rid myself of the 500
2xl is best in workflow, and for that raw sound.

and i love the jog wheel.

I agree 2000xl all day i went from using a 1000 for past 7 years to a 2000xl 6 months ago and pretty much have not turned the 1000 on. The 2000 makes you be so much more creative and has a great feel although on the same note it is a little slower.

i've been tempted to cop a used 2000xl but the main concern is that i'm left-handed and the pad bank is on the right side, meaning i would have to cross my arms when using the controls and hitting the pads. would = lame.

I have both. I got a xl a few years after I got my 1000, and I keep going back to my 1000. Once I get a memory card reader for my XL, I will probably start to use it more.

I was thinking about going with a 2500, because it seems like a good mix between the 2. I like the bigger pads that the XL and 2500 have.

man Just went to back to my 1000, and sad to say my precisesness and efficenty in makin beats is much more deadly in the 1000, even if the sounds quality is not up to par theres no match with how easy it is to use the 1000 , first i think the 1000 better then i say the xl , but im starting to lean towards 1000 more.. but then again i hate those padds on the 1000
