Hi.
Is it possible to change the "spin down time" on a Iomega scsi zip. I like my studie quiet, so I allways have to press out the zip disc, to make the zip drive quiet.

if it is still spinning for awhile after you are done loading/saving you would want to eject it anyways to save wear and tear on both the disk that is in there and the drive.

But I think zip drive goes to "sleep mode" in about half an hour. I want that delay time down to about 1 minut. Have anyone tried to open the drive and found something you could adjust?

must be differnet for different models or regions, cause my scsi zip100 definately does not keeping spinning and making alot of noise for half an hour after each disk access.

my zip goed on quit mode about 5 min or some! you hear a click and then the sound reduce with 50 % or some..but what's the big deal about pressing a knob and the sound is over?

it's also better for your disk and date, cuz there's a magnet inside!
