just throw the .jar file into the applications folder. then go and take the icon from the download page here http://mpcmaid.sourceforge.net/ and use this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2493 instructions to change the icon of the .jar, and then pull it into the right side of the dock.

I've just been dragging one by one. Is there any way to assign the samples to different pads once theyre on a pad? Appreciate the help. Bangin program otherwise.

You have to drag them onto pad 1 (bottom left) / Bank A.

I can't get MPC Maid to audition the samples. It says you can press the on-screen pad to get your PC to audition, but no sound. Anyone else got this to work?

This looks GOOD!

I have loaded up my MPC2500 HD with samples... lots of drum machines as well. Would be cool to build the programs on the Mac and save them on the MPC2500 HD without playing with the Akai interface... this would be so much quicker....

Can't wait to try it tonight

you have to pull it to the RIGHT side of the dock separator, to where the stacks and the trash are.

yes the batch program function saves alot of time . thats great..
however it does not seem to save the midi note parameters for making a "instrument program" ,
(like when you have samples for every key and want to play them with a real midi keyboard instead of pads)
at least not for jj os2.

and then when i when in midinote menu in the mpc changing the values to the correct midinotes did not work . samples still end up on different ones. so there seems to be a problem to use this program when working with midi note parameters for jjos2 .

if anyone did get that to work . please help me understand how you did it..
thanks

Sorry guys but whatever I do. Everytime I load the pgm. on my MPC 2500, there is a question mark before every sample within a program created with MPC maid. Anyone recognises this prob;em and understands why the pgm. doesn't find the samples? They are in the dedicated folder.

Anyone?

Thanks anyway.

this is mad basic man. not trying to be a d!ck.. but this is basic program creation and saving/loading. Not to mention how to do this is laid out for you in the beginning of the thread by yours truly.

Your getting ?'s because your loading a program and not the sounds that belong to it.
When you create the program in mpcmaid make sure to go to file and EXPORT it to a folder. dump that to a cf card and load the program FROM THAT FOLDER.

My b about the bump but I just came across a bug with mpcmaid.

When I do batch create programs and load the program in the MPC, the samples appear to be assigned just fine (say I assign KD_1.wav to bank A:pad 1, it shows like that in the MPC).

Now the weird thing is, when I hit that pad during recording it plays the sample that is assigned to that pad BUT when I go to playback what I just recorded, it plays a completely different sample.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

It would really suck if this is a result of batch create programs cause I'd have to re-create all of them manually.

Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I know damn well I'm not the only one who ever went thru this.
