So what would be more powerful an mpc2000xl and an asr-10 or a mpc4000?

The 4000 kills any other hardware sampler on the market.

I don'tr know a lot about the MV, I tried it for about half an hour in a shop (I know it's not long enough to judge a product) but I really did not like the sequencer
maybe if I have more time to test it some time...

When I worked at Sam ASh for a summer, before I got booted for some unknown reason, I sold allot of the keyboard units. Someone actually stole the rack mount version right from rack in the store, so its in demand I would say.
the tape record function is pretty interesting, but the 4K is just on the next level though, and the filters are state of the art, at least for awhile.
The keyboard on it is what makes it like the Triton, which is a sweet piece...of crap...just kidding. I like Korg allot. The weighted keys are cool if your into keys, and the newer digital I/O interface is good. Damn , now I want to get one.

you should have a keyboard as well as a sampler...some people just have keyboard controllers, but you may as well have a nice synth like an asr10
