Vallixi for the 60?

Hey there, I was just wondering if there is no possibility to get it work on the 60.
What is the reason?

Rumor has it there was once a vallixi for the 60, but it never came to fruition...many rEasons are possible, too small of a market, costs xcEeed potential profits, etc etc.

I always thought also maybe Rohan didn't want to step on Roger Linn's toes. if this OS was out for 60, almost no one would buy the Roger Linn OS 3.10. I could be completely wrong thou.

Yeah, I don't think Linn or Rohan would care about that

i am waiting for this as well, i have been checking everyday at this forum for over a year hoping to hear something.

this would be awesome, there are just a few things that could be implemented easily and would make the mpc much more open for modular setups.

Well the CPU and memory in the 60 are too small for a start.
Also the buttons are different on the 60 and 3000 so you'd have to recode it for that and isn't Rohan still missing ?
That seems like 3 pretty good reasons.

Unfortunately there currently is no Vallixi for the 3k so I would forget about a 60 version happening.

Just be grateful Linn put the V3 back in production for the 60 as that was discontinued earlier this year.

Sadly, he mentioned to me in an email that he had a beta version completed for the 60... not sure what happened to the business but I was really looking forward to it.

Well based on the fact that v3.1 changes the speed performance of the 60 (some notice it some don't) Vallixi may have run into some performance trade offs that weren't acceptable.

Just a thought on what could have happened to it.


Still hoping Rohan emerges again someday.

I actually have a Beta Version of Rohans 60 OS in my 60II. He gave me one 2 years ago after my 3000 OS was bugging out my machine. I sold my 3000, so he was nice enough to hit me up w/ 60 OS. Pretty Sweet, I can edit samples while sequence is running, better MIDI specs. Still didnt get the sync on all MIDI outs though. Its VERY solid, dont want to speak for him. But ghost in the machine is a real problem in the 60 community. High liability if he released the OS.

Damn, do you think it is possible to copy it and burn some eeproms?
