Recorded samples not being heard in program/seq modes, help!

Hi guys, sorry to bug you with this one as I'm sure it's simple to you all, but I'm a complete noob and even the manual isn't helping me! I've recorded a sample and trimmed it, it's assigned to a pad as I can listen to it and hear it playing when I hold down the pad in trim mode. But when I go to program mode and assign the sample to a program, I can't hear it! Therefore I can't use it in sequencer either! I must be missing something..? Why can't I play/hear my sample in program mode, only in trim mode?? Please help as I'm getting annoyed by it now and don't usually have a problem with these kind of things!

Does anyone know what's going on? I manage to get it to work the first time when I got my mpc and experimented recording a sample and put it on a pad that was part of a preset bank but now I've turned off the autoload feature so it starts up blank. So I can record a sample and trim it and extract bits to create new samples, but then I can't hear them in program or sequencer mode.. It's driving me nuts, anyone got any ideas? :/

Right, I tried turning the autoload feature back on and then playing one of the demo songs. The song played, but I still can't hear the samples in program or sequencer modes, only in trim mode!! why could this be??

Volume set to zero, track mute on, sample not loaded onto pad, mabey you assigned the sample to a program but your tring to play a different program/track.? thats all i can think of at the moment, hope you resolve this issue soon, it must be really frustrating!

MPC wannabe

As a last resort I did a factory reset and then loaded my samples back up and immediately they worked!! Everything works now as it should, but I'm a bit worried about what happened before. It wasn't just my samples, it was the autoload factory preset samples that weren't audible in anything but Trim mode as well, so it can't have been something I did?!I just hope it doesn't happen again, does anyone have any ideas about what could have happened??
