And when you've tested out several

ide hdd's vs ide mcd's

and

scsi hdd's vs scsi mcd's on 2kxl

you tend to understand these things ya know.

Unless Steele is loading several big mb files and performing onstage right then and there live
then the difference is not big at all.

I have both. I don't trust a HD by itself. So I use the cf and copy everything to the HD through USB. Plus I back up to my computer. My HD is faster than my cf though. Although explicit sent me a cf card that was much faster than the one I previously had. So.... Use both to be on the safe side. The lack of partition feature does suck though.

Wow been an age since ive been here. Ok my choice is CF card over hard drive simply because, when ever I have used multiple outputs 3 through to 8 for some reason this doe's not effect 1-2 ands the master, with the hard drive installed there is a buzzing noise. Presuming its the disk drive spinning round, as it does not happen when using CF card.
