I just recently purchased a mpc 1000. I have been making a couple different beats, but now the default sounds are starting to get old to me.What is a good way to get more sounds, Sample cd's? There are so many to choose from, its hard to know whats a good cd from the rest. I was thinking of buying a keyboard but I'm a little confused on which one to get. If you have any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated. thanks

(Hi to you in Sweden! I'm part Swedish.)

I agree--download all the kits from Akai's site--some are quite good and will keep you busy for a while! Peace.

can you tell me where on akai's website those sounds are? I just looked and all I've found was demo and factory sounds.

And some turntables...

And just sample lots of John F. Kennedy speech 45's.

I have a 45 of the lunar landing...I can turn that ****-eating astronaut guy's voice into some sweet basslines.

MSCK

What do I look for in a keyboard? I know I need one that is MIDI . What else? I looked at the one in the link and it looks like it would work. Any one here used that paticular one before?

FYI: You were probably on Akai's US site. It's a bit scaled down. Always go to their international site for the most product info, sounds, maunals, etc. Peace.

That's a good idea because I got this dude out here who deejays, and he was going through his album collection and got MAD sounds and effects.
