That ain't your OS most likely.. Are you looping it... Cause if you're looping the sample, but it's not at Zero Crossings you will get a popping where it loops...

Let me know if your looping... If you are, you just gotta find a different spot to loop from where it don't click...

Well Zero Crossings would only be an issue if you are looping... Since you're not it's probably just a defect in a sh*tty product that Akai rushed into completion... Much as they did with the 4K before this...

yeah well i heard it was a bug before but 1.05 fixed the bug but obivously it didnt for me and this is the first bug ive had, but i normally sample into my comp but i want to give the extract feature a try i guess, but i guess i cant with the gayest pop noise ever at the end of everything. i take it your not using a 1k then? and i cant wait tilli buy a sp 505 to do my sampling in.

Word... The 505 is real nice... I have an MPC 2000XL and an SP-505... I sample my drums in lo-fi on the 505 usually... My samples I sample directly into the 2KXL.... Works for me...

for real, so you like the chopping and stuff in the mpc 2kxl better than the 505, cuz i want to do choping and zonin in it and then seequence them or whatever with the 1k

I like the 2kxl better for a lot of things.. Filters are nice...

Chopping is about equal on both of them... I just usally do it on the MPC... Then I re-sample my drums in Mono lo-fi on the 505....

It compresses the bass a little and gives it a different characteristic than the MPC gives it...

I usually use some of the 505 effects if necessary (such as the overdrive or distortion effect, real light to warm up the sounds to a really fat drum sound)...

The MPC does most of my work... It's just that I already had my 505 first and loved it... Couldn't stand to get rid of it... And it's just nice for drums...

if you use a PC maybe you can add a fade to the end of the sample...

Why don't you just record the sample slightly longer than you need it and then trim the end off. Easy.

i don't want to come across as being out of order - but your question is one that newbies post on here a l l t h e t i m e. this probably explains the lack of response - that and the fact that your 1st post is practically illegible.
