MPC 1000 MEMORY UPGRADE FAILURE

Hello I tried to upgrade memory using a 128mb stick... when booting up it said

Check Memory...
Pass 1 : passed
Pass 2 : passed
Pass 3 : passed
Pass 4 : failed (88000000)
Please check the memory.
System Halt....

WTF... is my memory damaged? is it the wrong stick? Does it only take the 256mb upgrade? please help

Yes and yes. Check the sticky thread above for RAM specs.

Right, I do believe that may be problem however I PM a few other expert members here they said should still work, others are saying could be a manufacturing issue...

Well u can waste your time or u can go get the right RAM. Choice is yours.
