The MPC 5000 has an insert for a foot switch that would allow its control. The type of foot switch? What type of control?

There are already "midi" foot pedals out there that can send program changes and start/stop commands. So why not use one of those? Any recommendations?

Has anyone here ever used one to change to next sequence? If so what type of pedal are you using?

It seems that players would find it useful to change to next sequence with his foot. Or even better NEXT SONG! With start and stop control.

....especially if you're a one man band.

If any one has any info please respond and you will be my hero!

Any foot pedal will work,I've been using a pedal from an old roland I have that came with the board, but they make cheap solutions @ guitar center maybe 10-15 bucks (m-audio).. As long as it sends a cc,that's all that matters.Get something cheap
And yes the next sequence along with other options work just fine.Note repeat with a pedal is a bit weird, but maybe that's just me..It also allows you to to trigger a pad if you wanted,in theory you could trigger double kick's if you had two pedals and wanted too, more then enough options for controlling the 5k imo.
I guess I'm a bit more conservative as I just use it for play/start/stop,but there are a ton of custom settings if you want them..
