Possible to send Adat from Mpc to sound card @ 48khz ?

Hi,
I'm able to send audio via adat 44.1khz out no issues , but @ 48khz I'm getting a weird noise, is the 5k able to send 48khz digital out?

The manual says sound generator 44khz.

You says, funny noise at 48khz when tried.

I'd guess no going by the weird noise, mix matched rates.

Sorry, I don't have a real world answer for you but from what I've experienced
when mixmatching rates, it sounds like (weird noise) that's what you ran into and the
manuals states 44khz as well.
