The only reason you'd have to send it out would be to have the boot loader flashed to rom, and that would only be if the flash/intel chip got zapped/wiped/corrupted
Correct, this happened directly after installing OS 1.20 from the internal zip. I hope you are right, SMC. I have installed an OS update from a SCSI drive in the past. Here is what David from VST wrote:
"Sounds like you may have corrupted the flash memory, If you cannot reload the operating system software, you will need to send in for service - may required reprogramming the boot block (with Jtag programmer) in order to restore the OS."
