i guarantee you doesnt save everything. i know for a fact that it doesjt save mute groups by track and i know it's not saving something in one of my synth tracks because Im not hearing certain subtle notes that i know were there when i saved it.

has anyone else come across this?

I also think it does nto save all the samples in all the programs. it saves some of them because if you load the "entire saved project" again it saomtimes does not include all the samples.

I am eagerly awaiting a new OS........................... come on akai, don't be lame.

you cant have duplicate names.. this fux it all up. everything must have it's own unique name and everything saves/loads fine (at least for me). i do wish there could be some sort of auto-tag for samples instead of generic "sample 1, sample 2..." maybe mpc could identify sound dna or something- that would be sweet

Check the tracks with the missing notes in a Step Edit. Check to see if the notes are there, but just with a duration of 0, 1 or 2... I have that problem and I noticed it initially because I was missing certain subtle notes like you described. See this other thread for the low-down -- although not (yet) a fix.
