Anyone here use the bit convert??

Ive been playin around with it for the past 15minutes! it gives saome samples a cool static/grimy sound behind them.Does anyone use it on there beats?? is this a bad idea or should i leave it alone and mess with the one in my daw??

I like using it on kicks. (bit grunge) I was experimenting with it this week also. Its dope. I'm Trying to Master all the effects in JJ.

They make snares sound brutal

I also like using it on synth sounds. You can get a cheesy lead to sound way better

I've seen a lot of threads with complaints about the effects on the Mp. Of course there are higher quality effects out there, but if you just use your own ears and adjust them to your taste, the effects can sound great. As far as bit reduction... Isn't the idea to remove quality? Use it up my man...

Oh yeah... Try it on a really good sample of a closed high hat. Makes them really grimey, and you just need a touch.

The OP is talking about 'BIT CONVERT' from the TRIM screen... not effects.

Busted... I always use the JJ version in trim mode. Saves space for other effects. But use what works.

i use it from time to time depending on what i want. If im sampling from a synth into the mpc il use the it to give it that sound i want and it. I dont use it on everything just use your ears and judge what you want. Drums do sound dope using it.
