Sampling on MPC 2000

How to put samples in the my mpc 2000? I don't have a turntable/records or anything. Would I have to put them in my zip disks it seems like a waste up space in it after i sample it.

Waste space on the zip disk? You can sample anything with an audio output as long as you have the right cable to make it 1/4". For example to sample your ipod in mono you could get a cable like this

Why did you buy the machine in the first place, and what was your expectation?
