Ok here's the deal. last week I purchased a western digital 320gb hard drive. I installed it formatted in akai OS 1.24. I saw all of the available storage space. I them switch to jjos 5.56 and noticed that my hard drive space was cut down to 120gb. ??????what happened???? Has anyone encountered that problem, if so how did u fix. Is it because I haven't purchased password for jjos yet????

I believe it is a HARDWARE limitation caused by whatever chips were soldered on the board. Has nothing to do with the JJ OS. Max you would see would be 127GB.

I dont think its a hardware issue I beleive I read somewhere that the format limit on the 2500 is 120gb but if you just format it on your pc and connect it back to your mpc it should read the full capacity of the hard drive.

If your wondering how to get the laptop hard drive connected to your pc look for a 2.5 ide hard drive usb adapter.
