yea man DL the freebie to hold you off. As always its recommended you back up your sh*t first then try it out. The JJ manual is kinda gibberish but most dont need it. But you'll see man.....for the first few hours just sample any bullsh*t and make a bullsh*t beat while you press every button on the MP. You gonna see son...NOBODY goes back to the Akai os

Think of the free JJ OS as a less buggier and enhanced akai os. The paid version does not compare. You can always check out the paid version and then switch back to akai os when working on a project till you purchase your password. Also jjos is not like you have to relearn all over again its just more intuitive and can do a lot more a lot better, the os is still mpc style. Basically its how akai should of had it in the first place.

@ kustom-get-money

Straight up any of the JJ OS's is better than the Akai one. Global Program Edit alone makes JJ the shizznit.
And you'll be able to use the OS without really "learning" anything new, I never needed the manual once.

I'd still love to see someone produce a straight-forward and easy to read manual for OS2XL.

I downloaded the free version....3.08, I think? It caught on real quick and then I got JJ OS1. Haven't upgraded to any of the newer version yet, but am pretty happy w/ the first one. Just DO IT! You won't regret it man...

I completely agree with everything everyone has said about JJ.. but kustom.. dont do what I did..
even tho I didnt have a choice and had to wait.. I ran jjos free 3.09 for like 3 months before springing for the full shibang bang.
But I was in a position where I was forced to wait. Your not.
And while the free version gives you a taste of how much better JJ is than the Akai OS, its still just skimming the surface of was the full version of OS2 and OS2xl can do.

Go for the Full deal off the ripski. You WONT regret it.

and as for the learning curve? what learning curve.
Everything is pretty much exactly the same it terms of the ideology of how the AKai OS works.
Its just put together in a way where it works FAR MORE to your advantage, plus with some added features.
Basically that means a WAY more streamlined work flow and features added that typically only come in the flag ship model, and a couple features that even the flag ship model is missing!
(If not for JJOS I would own a 5000. and the day the 000 ever gets JJ, is the day I'll buy one)

Dont flake. Buy JJ NOW. if you time your purchase at the right time of the day you can get your password emailed to you within 20-30 minutes after paying like I did.

I think it was around 1:30am to 2AM, which is late afternoon in tokyo.. like 4:30 to 5 pm if I remember correctly.
JJ's helper checks the email for payments a few times during the day and right at the end of the day I believe, which is 5pm for them. they are 14 hours ahead of me (EST). so you either wanna send your payment in the morning in tokyo (7pm EST for me) which is 9am for them, or towards the close of business in tokyo around5pm (1-2am like I did which is 4pm there time). again if they check right before they end of the day, you'll get your password right after. I literally paid and had mine 28 minutes later!

Dont wait.. DO IT NOW!!! and thanks us later
