controling the mpc 2000xl FX board via midi controller

i got a fully loaded mpc 2000xl. i have a midi controller (61 key) which i control the wav files (synth) loaded to the mpc but, i would like to also control the filter (FX) via this midi controller, becuz my synth has been flat lately i would like to beef it up and also just plainly fuc with the actually sounds including KICKS, SNARES etc. how do i connect my midi keyboard to the fx on the mpc? i only receive instructions for pc or mac. i use the Behringer UMX61 ................................................ thanxxx

If i cannot do this what external filter can you recommend to help me beef up my sound?
