Hi
I have made some multisampled instruments/program by sampling my analog synths

The first one I have completed is:
A trancy bass from a Roland JX-10
I
t spans 16 pads from C_1 to D#2 and has a sample for every pad, so no ugly up/down tuned samples
It is recorded trough an expensive RME Preamp to really give the samples punch.
I plan on extending the program to span over 2 octaves, so it can be used more easily with a MIDI-keyboard

Just write "yes" in the topic and I will upload it to ZShare, Rapidshare or megaupload etc.

It is COMPLETELY royalty-free and public domain as I created everything from scratch, including the patch itself on the synth.

Okay I will tranfer the program + samples to my PC and make a zip/rar.
As I said; I have only compled a sinlge program, but it is very good.

Which upload service should I use?

Hello
I have uploaded one for you. If you like it I can make many more; thoes basses are just pouring out the JX-10.

I made the program using JJ OS2XL, but I think that older versions can load it too. If it can't you can just use the samples JXBassC_1 - JXBass D#2 (16 samples) and make a new program, very easy.

Just unpack the folder in the .rar to a CF Card or Hard Drive, so the samples+program is in a folder seperate from other program (most people should know this)

Thanks...

I can easily make alot more, the JX-10 is a beast and I have the PG-800 programmer.

Just describe, what you could use: (much/less overtones, short, more resonans, square, saw etc)

thanks man ! good synth bass sample!

there is only a little noisy on background

but its not a big problem...

maybe if possible:

1)some square percussive bass with very short attack, full sustain, medium decay and very short release.

2)saw lead with some glide/portamento, slow attack, full sustain, full decay, short release

one sample for octave and about 5-6 seconds for sample is good; jjos 2xl program is not a problem

thanks for the courtesy!

....but BASS sounds is the only thing a do right now because, then I don't need to fiddle with too much looping, and I dont't need to use INST programs which are not compatible with all OSes.

....about the noise in the samples. I have tried different cables, with and without my RME preamp, different gain setting on the MPC and the RME preamp, and I can get rid of the noise.

Does anyone have a tip?

Maybe it would be better if recorded the samples with my MOTU 2408MKIII and then transfered the samples into the MPC digitally? Maybe the preamps in the MPC1000 is just noisy or maybe the synth, a Roland JX-10 from 1986 just IS that noisy.

Anyone?

System Shock:
I will try to do the bass sound you described, but I need to ask?

When you say
"very short attack, full sustain, medium decay and very short release."
Can you be more specific, I don't think of full sustain, when I think "percussive".

Can you describe how you want the filter and amp envelopes seperately?

Like:
Filter: quick attak, medium decay, sustain = 0 and quick release
(start filter cutoff close to 0, and mod depth 50%)

Amplifier: quick attack, medium decay, sustain = 0 and quick release

Or something like that.

All the amplifier envelopes can be made on the MPC, so those you can tweek yourself but the filter envelopes needs to be sampled from the synth, because it is the analog filter that gives the great sound. So I need a fair describtion on how you want the filter to go.
