HARD drive

hey guys,

how long is record time after installing 80 gig hd? must be more than 24 mins if you can store more than 24 mins worth of samples...

also...

does anyone know where I can get the 4 little screws to attach a hard drive to the hard drive kit? I only just found out that today I got very lucky! I bought an mpc 1k off ebay and the seller didn't advertise the fact that they had already installed an akai hd install kit, but unfortunatley they didn't send the screws?

A HD is a storage device. Hasn't got anything to do with recording time. U have to install the ram expansion if u want to increase the recording time.

Check any hardware store for screws. Or unscrew an hd from an old laptop

It does make sense

With the RAM fully expanded, you will have 11m32s of sampling time. As someone already pointed out, the HD has no effect on sampling time. You will have enough storage space for the better part of eternity though.
For the screws, if you have one that you need more of, just bring the one you have to a hardware store and they should be able to match it for you. If not, just bring the adapter with you.

MENCO! Do you have any footage of that Linn drum in action? I'd love to see and hear what that sucker can do!
