how exactly is 8 outs used

i was told a couple of different things and i just wanted to see what other people say

You use it to mix and record seperate tracks easier. Can't do it with just stereo outs. You'd have to record one track (or two?) at a time.

where does what go and into and out of what

no offense yo but this is a newbie board post. the 8 outs make 8 sounds goto 8 channels on a mixer. not just pads but what u group to one track. Please do a search or the newbie joint.
