I sent my 1000 out under warranty for dead pads. I just got it back today, and they replaced 6 of the pads with the old single pad sensors instead of the new pads.

Has anyone else had pads replaced under warranty?

well at least you got it free. a lot of people here had to buy the indivdual pads. including me.

hate to say it but those pads will go out again. but till then... enjoy them

I actually emailed the place that did the fix. Well.. First I emailed the akai rep who helped me with my warranty stuff. He said there was nothing he could do.. Its technically fixed, and I have 90 days of repair warranty to see if they die again.

So, I emailed the place that fixed it, and they said to send it back, and they will put the new pads in. So, I will be without my mpc for another couple weeks, but is worth it.

This post really pisses me off. I love the Mpc, but Akai can suck it. Do what you need to do to get those pads. It is deffinately worth it.
