Any interest in custom wood sides and armrests for the 3000?

Thanks for the pic. Didn't mean to topic jack- but I wasn't gonna make a whole new topic for pad colors- figured this fit in sorta.
Now if we could only find a place to cop replacement data wheels.

anyway, dude stopped by my place today with the mockup, no drilling yet so I'm going to wait to take orders right now because of course I want the final product to be top notch and not have any huge gaps. Anyway, dude has the jigs setup and he said that's a pain in the ass to do, so providing these come out good fitment and finish wise he's going to cut me a small deal on the first 5...including this one, which will be for the MP in the pictures. So basically the first four people that want a set can get them for $175 shipped, after that 200. Wood choice is going to be based on what he has in stock ( oak, maple, cherry, wheat ) so if you have a preference let me know.

These pics, obviously are unfinished, not laquered or anything and a little rough around the edges. He said they would get better as he goes, so the fourth person will probably be the best. If you want one, he said they'll be done by Wednesday, I'll post final pictures then...if you're in PM me after you check the pictures (wednesday), if not..thanks for viewing this thread! it's been an adventure haha

Word. I'm definitely interested but just have to see the fully finished, lacquered version before I order. My arm-rests are looking all sh!t right now anyway.

Put me in-line for a set when they done pimp.

hopefully by the end of the month, that set was a mock up and he came a bit short on the sides length wise so he started redoing them, got a big job for a church, etc. etc. I got an email from him that he "should" be done by the end of the month..so I hope so, I don't want to have to beat a church-goer up to get my loot back haha!

I PM'd pretty much everyone who expressed interest...

I'm pretty much fed up with trying to get these done, the dude took forever, I had to make so many compromises in the design with him that I was happy to have anything to show for my money....and I had to let him borrow the MPC which is a sucker move on my part...

they look "OK" though, definitely not the level of craftsmanship I want or expect...so I'm just asking what I have in them pretty much, pictures are up at

there is a mini moog model D on the prophet5.org forum that has kauri wood for the frame. looks sick. MPC would look unreal, but if you are going to get kauri might as well get white bait kauri

Got My set. Took a small bit of modding but nothing major (modded securing points with wood screws). Good buy for the price.
