program mode

When I'm in program mode, i can program a pad by layering drums, and tweaking envelopes like I want. But when I'm back in pattern mode, the pad doesn't sound exactly like I programmed it.

Why is that?

In particular pay attention to the monitor mode of the program (whether you hear it as PROGRAM or via the MULTI)

Not really fair with the 4k. The manual is not up to date and it's a nightmare trying to keep up with the revisions. I usually read the manuals for gear before even playing it but I never bothered with the 4k. Also the way the 4k has the program monitor as default is goofy and unexpected.

Maybe 4k manual is bad, but I've red it and most of it was clear to me. People here complaining about it and this is bullshit. 4k simple enough.
