ok i just got the beastie a few days ago and im really happy with it.. what im not happy with is the shitty manual and its brief descriptions of methods regarding memory manegment. how do you people keep your files in order? i set up a samples, seq, and kits(programs) folder but i dont know if this is efficient. also i made an autoload folder but nothings happining should i save everything in autoload? or what.. this is my only issue so far with the machine..

i dont really understand it either but this is what i do. first i make a song,if its a song im already working on then when i go to save it first i delete the old one cuz the same things in ram.to save i save all programs and samples-create new folder.then all sequence and songs,so two things show up in menu for every song,if you following me.name each file different to keep track of course.exampl;nf1,sequence and song1-new folder 1 for program and sample, sequence and song for sequences songs effects etc.allrighrt then to load you must load both of these.my sample kits i keep in just programs and samples ie; the first one examp;kit-no1 i hope u understand what im sayin im thats just my way every time i try somethin else i end up making abunch of copies of the same samples even though i tellit to not.or erase stuff.so i dont really understand its easier to understand on a computer and you should back it up anyway :!:

yea i dont follow you at all...i think they should have spent more time on the manual or a bit more time making the softwear more user friendly.. why the hell does it waste memory on re saving all these samples?! its stupid. i dunno im just getting super frustrated with the process

thanks for your time though! its appreciated

come on guys you can figure it out. If not search the forum for this topic.

This is how I'm set up.
Deleate the autoload folder
Make a folder for each song and sequences
Have the programs and samples saved in each of the folders the songs in
If have same program or samples in different songs make a special folder that says shared pgms.

This works best for me, And if the memory on the card gets full. Dump the folder into the Mac.

Peace and good luck.
