mpc 2000xl buttons

my play start button is a lil bit loose, and i have recently noticed that when i go to record a sequence or play back a sequence there will be a half second delay from when i hit the button, to when the sequence actually plays.whats the deal? would i be able to tighten up my play start button if i took the face cover off?

You never know, it snaps into place and if it's loose it's probably cuz it's broken. I'd take the case off and take a look, you can order new Transport buttons from the Akai service center in Cali for about 10.00 bucks.
