how do i change the default bpm

when i turn on the machine instead of 120 i want it at 180 bpm and at 4 bars instead of 2 bars

i was able to do this on the 1k but i forgot how

I just have a template that autoloads with my preffered BPM, mute groups, track names etc.

maybe I don't understand the question, but what happens when u highlite the bpm and trun the jog wheel?

na I think he is referring to the default BPM when you first power up the machine.

o, ok. if thats the case, i forgot how i changed my defaults.

what did u save that template as?

if i set it up would i have to have a template program saved and then a template all seq and songs file?

or can it just be one file that i can load up that would be the program and sequence template like you have?

Not in my autoload (I never use that function). I have different templates for almost anything

I forget where it's at off the top of my head, but I think it's in the global parameters menu. I have mine defaulted to 90 bpm and 4 bars. Althought, pounds template idea sounds good too, especially for the mute groups and track names. If you don't find this by the time I get home tonight, I'll go to the mpc and double check.

whenever I power on the 1K my default 90 BPM loads up with each track named and mute groups for samples, bass and open/closed hats. I also have a default beat named "beat_000" so each time I could just give it a beat number and call it a day. This way when Im ready to work all I have to do is turn it on. As soon as the main screen comes on Im good to go!

Forgot about this thread. Anyway, to change your default tempo and bars, just highlight your sequence name and press open window. Then press F3/Default and set it to what you want! BTW, this is for JJOS1, don't know if it's different otherwise!
