Sampling without turntables

so..if i want to sample something such as a rock song or a video game soundtrack...or a movie soundtrack..how do i do so without having a record player. do i need a ceartin computer program to chop it up? or can i chop it up on the MPC?

thought you said you read the manual? It lists the basic connections the MPC accepts. You would be using the machine to chop. Please read your manual before posting the basic questions.
