Instead of getting samples on a cd I was wondering if I could "speed up" my work flow by being able to use dvd's and have a cd/DVD drive installed instead of a standard cd-drive? I popped out the cd drive and installed the cd/dvd drive but now the os doesn't recognize the drive. Is this just an incompatibility? Do i HAVE to use a cd-drive? Do I have to use MPC's drive? The closest replacement drive I found online was $112 and is was just a regular cd-drive....ouch!
Might at be just as simple as reflashing the os to "see" the drive? Being that its a proprietary OS I really dont know how to install the "drivers" for the new cd/dvd drive i purchased.
So if any of you really smart people out there could help me out, I'd REALLY appreciate it!
Thanks
Jeff
