Effects PROBLEM!

Hi

I believe there´s something wrong with my mpc 4000. All the Delayeffects (pingpong, stereo, etc) are distorted like hell. Have i missed something or is the effectsBoard busted?
I have installed 512mb memory, i removed it because i thought it might have been the problem, but nothing changed.

please help or come with suggestions.

Did you try adjusting the effect parameters ?

Well for example i tried the effect DELAY PANNING. the only two parameters that affect the input volume to the effect is the send bus on the mixer. and the volume on the sample. Then u can adjust the mix level on the effect and the dry wet parameters. this only affects the volume of the output on the effect. When i turn off the direct signal so that i only hear the effects output, the mix parameter and the effectsBUS on the mixer doesnt change the distortion, only the distortion level. Example MaShEdSOUND at low volume or MaShEdSOUND at high volume.

Are there other parameters that can be changed?

in the edit section of the effect, there is some more parameters like:

delay, feedback, hf damp, mode, width...

have you found those?

yes i have found them. Hmm I fear the worst...

Do you get the problem using the headphone output?

i have only tried with the headphones, not the other outputs.

Well i tried the other outputs including the 8ch option outputs. Same thing there, but like i said before it is only some of the delayeffects that´s distorted. Very strange, very very annoying!

Does you output your effects in channel 1/2 or you send them in other outputs?

Same problem in 1/2 outputs and the other outputs.

EB4JS-card Broken? Is it located deep inside the mpc? I instlled the 8output option some days ago and i couldnt see the effectsboard...

Could it be a software issue?

how many samples(mb) do you have loaded into ram?


does the sample distort without the effect?

i have 512mb of ram.I loaded two samples when i tried it the last time.
The samples does not distort without effects. only distorts with the delayeffects, it is a digital typ of distortion and it feedbacks like crazy...

Does any one know if the effectscard is integrated in the mainboard of the mpc 4000 plus?

I cant seem to find it...

do you have any digital cables hooked into your machine?
