If this is possible, I'm trying to search for how-to's. There are vid's of dudes doing it, just can't figure it out.

Anyhow, my 1000 is not terrible but it's pretty bad and I'm not getting the pad replacement yet. How can I MIDI over the 1000 to the MPD24? I just need to do the pads, sliders and stuff aren't needed. Is this possible yet? My OS is JJOS2.

you can do a straight midi cable out from mpd to midi mpc in just setup so the mpd pads are triggering the right notes to trigger the right pads on the mpc you might need the ac wall plug for this option

you can also have the mpd going into the computer to ya software as the midi master sending the midi out thru your usb or firewire audio intrface midi ports (if got em,,,) run a midi cable from the midi out of the interface into the midi in of the mpc, it's just a matter of making sure your mpd pads are setup with the same note assignment as your mpc program so will be like a pad assignment clone

Thanks, yea I'm steering away from using Reason... the reason I got the 1000. I'd rather just straight up use the MPD24 pads instead of the 1000 pads, period. If all I have to do is plug the MPD in and connect via MIDI I'm happy with that.

yeah, all ya gotta do isset the midi channels to match assign the same notes to the same pads on both and your good 2 go

being that the mpc 1000 is like a mpd24 with bult in sampling and audio in/out

should be a snap
